Going bald
Boomer, the Siamang, may look innocent, but he has a very bad temper at times. He's a tricky animal to figure out. He's cuddly and lovey dovey one moment and the next he's ripping your hair out...literally! Yes, Boomer grabbed a handful of my hair and ripped it out at the roots! I have a small patch of hair missing right behind my bangs, and let me tell you...it hurt! Luckily, it's not that noticeable. Although, I have to say that I am a little worried about when it grows back and is spiky!!! :( Anyway, Boomer is a great animal and I don't blame him. Someone he doesn't like at all was in the vicinity and everyone figures he just took it out on me. I told him I was mad at him that day, but I've since forgiven him and have gone back to grooming him regularly. Hopefully, this was a one time deal...I will certainly be more cautious of the environment around me when I am near Boomer in the future. Bites, scratches and bruises come with the job...I've even had surgery once due to an animal injury; but this one is a first for me!
